SEATTLE, WA – (Marketwire – July 1, 2010) – Artefact, a Seattle-based design consultancy, today announced that it has added Sam Baker to the team as senior developer. Baker, who has nearly 15 years in the video game industry, will bring a broad range of software development expertise to develop creative engineering solutions to user-centered design problems.
Baker joins Artefact from Big Fish Games. His most recent contributions include Facebook games like Faunasphere and My Tribe.

His 15 years in the video game industry include over 10 years developing PC games and console games for Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, XBox and PlayStation Portable systems. He is experienced with programming languages from assembly language to C++, Flash, Java, and others.

Baker received his Bachelor of Science in Computing, specializing in artificial intelligence from the University of Leeds, England. When he’s not writing code, he enjoys reading, baseball, traveling, biking, and exploring nature with his family.
