SEATTLE – August 11, 2009 – Artefact Group, a Seattle-based design consultancy, today announced that it has added two new members to its design team, Masuma Henry as user experience research lead and Joon Jang as user experience designer.
Henry, who has nearly 10 years experience in researching the emerging markets space and Jang, who has a comprehensive knowledge base within the automotive and media industries, will help enhance Artefact’s emerging market and automotive work.
Henry joins Artefact from the Microsoft Corporation. For the past three years, she worked as the user experience research lead and was responsible for conducting field research in various emerging market countries. Specifically, she strived to understand how computer usage changes when people are in public spaces and how cell phone behaviors change in different environments.
Jang joins Artefact with a specialization in building brand strategy and user experiences within the automotive and media industries. Before joining Artefact, he helped network giants like MTV and NBC enter the digital media space and provided user experience consultation to automotive companies like Fisker Automotive.
“We are very pleased to have Masuma and Joon join Artefact as they will be an integral part of our growing automotive and emerging market design business,” said Gavin Kelly, Artefact principal and co-founder. “Masuma and Joon have a great deal of specialized and deep experience in these markets and we look forward to continuing to expand our client base in both industries.”
