SEATTLE, WA – (Marketwire – March 22, 2010) – Artefact, a Seattle-based design consultancy, today announced that it has added Craig Erickson to the team as a creative director. Erickson, who has nearly 15 years experience in creative direction and design, will bring talent and experience, both technical and creative, ranging from interactive to print.
Erickson joins Artefact from SectionSeven, an award winning design and development studio, where he was the co-founder and creative director. He managed to produce a culture founded on creativity and craft while focusing on the collaborative efforts of design and development. Prior to SectionSeven, he was a designer at Glympse, a mobile location sharing application.
In addition to his work at SectionSeven and Glympse, Erickson has spent time working on software experiences, interactive advertising, gaming, and identity projects. During his 12 years of experience his work has been recognized, featured, and published in many countries and gathered a slew of interactive and design awards including three awards from CommArts Interaction Design, OneShow interactive, FWA, a gold at SeattleShow and many more. Erickson has worked with companies like Microsoft, Google, Nintendo, Nike, GoodbySilverstein&Partners.

Craig has a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Communication from Eastern Washington University. Outside of work he enjoys spending time outdoors, creating art, and exploring design applied to many interests and endeavors.
